Are you on of these parents? Do you know these parents? Would you please give them the Italian-mother slap upside the back of the head for us please?

Ok, we're only kidding. Sort of.

We certainly understand that, as a parent, you believe and know that your child is truly unique, so you don't want to burden it with a name that is so invariably common (read: boring) so as your "unique" child just blends in with the other Billys or Johnnys or Michaels on the playground.

But really? Seriously? You want your child to be this unique?

A recent unscientific survey of about half a million parents submitted their baby names to a baby- and parent-centered website in 2013, and the site recently revealed its most unusual baby names in 2013.

Here's the interesting part - the site only included those "unique names" that were given to at least three babies - so they're not the most unique!

Can you think of a unique baby name that you heard about this past year that is not on either of these lists? Share them with us. Also, give us your choices of the five best or most unusual names from these lists. We're only showing you our favorites, not the full listings.

Oh, and if you were a new parent in 2013, what name did you use for your child? Was it as unusual as Pilot Inspector? (Yes, that name actually does belong to a child.)
