We’ve all heard that moms don’t get sick days, and it was so obvious to me how true that was on Monday as I tried to get through our normal daily routine, while still feeling ill. It wasn’t the easiest thing to do, but I still made it through the day, managed to get rest, and got the kids involved to help me feel better! Here are some tips for making it through with your kids when you’re sick:

One of my clever “homemade” baby food cheats is to open a can of organic pumpkin and feed it to a baby. Baby food can also be made with canned pumpkin Adding pumpkin to rice cereal or oatmeal makes a fancy fall breakfast, like something you could order at Starbucks, but without whipped cream. Experiment with cinnamon, nutmeg, and or ginger to help your baby embrace flavors.
